This original fur is very nearly the same shade but ever so slightly lighter and more saturated + it is less of a "realistic" texture with no guard hairs + it has tips so it’s less *perfect* but still well within the realm of suitability. I also have SO much of it bc I bought a fullsuit amount.

THINKING… I can use the original fur I bought for bearself *just* to make her partial so I don’t have to use any of my special discontinued fur. Feat. @lakemutt.com’s salmon crossbody bag which I do not presently own but hope to someday because it pairs perfectly with a bear suit!!!

I should probably ask around to see if anyone has any going spare. The longer I wait the more likely any stock anyone's holding onto will be used on commissions or premades.

I have 3 meters of it which might be enough for all of that because I'm small and her arms and legs are a different fur, but I don't wanna risk it. :(

I kinda want to make a partial version of bearselfsuit separately from a fullsuit version (second head with a slightly different fit, separate armsleeves), but the fur I have and adore for her main body color is no longer manufactured by the supplier :(

Thankfully it's not as hard to find replacements for my favorite pencil as it is to find replacements for partner's favorite pens but I'm still sad about it :( It's a good pencil

I'm trying so hard to be cooler about spiders in the house but it's hard when I wake up and they're sitting on top of my Build-A-Bears. I get it it is a very nice cuddly toy but please it is mine 😭

I just watched the Dan n Phil coming out round 2 video and it made me laugh so painfully to learn how similar their relationship is to mine. Like oh worm. But also & for that reason my god I cannot imagine having to hide like that for 15 years. It must be such a relief to be able to be open abt it!!

It's finished!! "My Avian Neighborhood": in total almost 100 hours of work in the span of 27 days to complete. So very proud of this one, it's going to be hanging in its first show over the next few months. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on, the species are in the alt text of the image! ✨

It's so annoying on a meta level to dislike photos of yourself. Like I can see objectively that this is a nice photo with decent lighting that crops well into the shape it's going to be. It has the vibe of a DIY author photo from a book jacket. Extremely fit for purpose. Unfortunately, I am in it,

If this goes well (and as quickly as I feel it should considering how straightforward my application is) I should be able to apply for citizenship almost immediately after I get married in December and then NEVER have to worry about any of this again.

Put in my application for indefinite leave to remain in the UK! Hopefully the end of a long 10 year journey and I am so relieved to be able to do this before any of the major destabilizing updates from the white paper come into effect.
