Blue: I'm going to paint some miniatures.
Green, unseen in the background: Okay!

Picking up a miniature, Blue goes deep into focus, gently brushing the figurine with a paint brush, making a soft, quiet little "shup" sound every time.

Looking up from his work, Blue turns to listen as Green interrupts his work to say something.
Green: I like the little sound that your brush makes when you paint.

Blue lowers the miniature, looking at it with a frown.
Blue: Well now I'm too self-conscious about that to finish this.

Today I'm finally relaying the carpet in the office/studio.

Finally got round to stripping down the Bagnall. Bit of a tense operation as I was worried what IPA might do to the 3D print shell but it all turned out ok.

Didn't quite realise how much rivet detail on the tanks the the previous owner's heavy handed paint job had hidden!

Happy 15th anniversary to "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". Life was VERY dark before these little ponies entered my life back in 2012, and I still can't express just how much everything changed because of it. New friends made, fun times had, and I draw better!

Enjoyed that. It managed to put my thoughts on the 2024 costumes into words better than I ever could.

I wouldn't say they're 'bad' designs, but I'd certainly make the argument that when you have to start writing the name of the character on the costume it's heading into poor design territory.

Just to provide some additional context here before people start asking why I couldn't just forge/weld a new blade on: The place I work at is in the middle of a national park, so due to local planning laws we can't have a forge or do any heat work since we're not allowed a smokestack/chimney.

I do kitchen knife sharpening & reshaping (for broken knives) as part of my job.

Customer turned up one day, broken knife. A carving knife that now only had a stub of a blade 1inch long on the handle. They couldn't understand that I couldn't just magically make the blade 1ft long again.

My records tell my I've made at least seven references to Thunderbirds over the years. Surprisingly, even the most well versed fans haven't pointed out the Zero-X reference in at least two images yet!

Perhaps I'm too nerdy for my own good... 😅
