Sé que eso es un fermentado y se está poniendo de moda también por acá, en mi región tenemos muchas bebidas fermentadas y son de consumo regular, mis favoritas son Tepache (fermentado de piña) y Tejuino (fermentado de maíz); no llegan a ser alcohol pero si tiene aromas y sabores ácidos y fuertes.

Si fue hace 50 años posiblemente se haya usado para subir de peso, en ese entonces tener sobr peso era sinónimo de tener buena salud en nuestras culturas.
