Did anyone see the meteor tonight around 8-8:10pm? I happened to look north and saw a light streaking across the sky before burning out.
This house on Oak St was easily our favorite. The tongue moved and the candy dropped down it. All the windows had black shadows of dancing demons. It was AMAZING!
I love knowing so many artists and crafters that are always willing to offer help or suggestions. You all make my heart so happy
Oh yeah, I forgot about Glen Echo! Will definitely look there
They're so cute! I spent about the same amount of time making tiny daffodil heads today because I had to re-learn how to do it. Many a head was smooshed today.
Thank you for all the info! I am joining the Kiln Club which I believe does some shows at Scope Gallery but I want to make more connections and see where all this goes!
Del Ray Artisan members: I've been exploring places to show my pottery and I'm curious if you would recommend becoming a member and/or entering shows there. I'm also curious where else you show your work. Please overwhelm me with your knowledge!
And a cactus in a "wooden" planter! #ceramics #pottery
The 3 yo asked me to play KPop Demon Hunter's soundtrack on the way to school. When Golden came on we turned it up loud and she wanted her window open so everyone could hear it as we rolled into the parking lot
FWIW she's not very good at it. I, on the other hand, am amazing at it.
Some of the potters on Pottery Throwdown didn't know how to throw before they got on the show!
I taught my kid how to do it 🫣
The people can be pretty stodgy too
Today was glaze day. Chickens, rainbow kitties, and one duck. Two weeks until the show and I'm working as fast as I can. #ceramics #pottery
The 3 yo had major hat head for school photo day (oops!) so I threw some clips in her hair and, while still cute, I can't help but laugh. The clips don't match, they're just thrown in her hair in a style she'd never normally wear...it's hilarious.
That's why I was curious because I had thought there was a no sidewalk rule but couldn't remember where I'd heard that.
I have a sincere question about biking along Duke St: is riding on the sidewalk okay on any/all of that road? I saw a woman on the sidewalk today and it made me curious about what the rule is on a 2-3 lane roads.
Today my 3 yo said she loved me [after I bought her a donut] and that I'm the "best cooker ever" [after I made her packaged ramen]. *nods with a smug look on my face*
They just sent out an email that Harrison will not be working as the Executive Director but nothing about whether she'll still be working for ACPS as it's "a personnel matter."
Where I grew up in Silver Spring, MD we were the last zip code before you were no longer in a Silver Spring zip code. I lived 25 minutes from the actual downtown Silver Spring.
Greg reads 2-3 books at a time which is insane. I don't know how he keeps track of the storyline in each one. But I guess his TBR list is shorter because of it.
