The sequel's PC port looks to be dogshit, so things could dire still.
Tested the demo of Homura Hime and came away not liking it that much. It's a Nier Automata clone to the core with good art and some overbearing voice-acting, but the movement and gamefeel isn't great.

I'm doing the game no favours by playing Ninja Gaiden II either. Shit's awesome.
Got a couple of thoughts after clearing the 1st chapter of 1st chapter:

Wow, you can just run around and explore in Bose without getting plot gated. I totally forgot.

I may have finished getting the spells I wanted already, but the game actually fights back on hard mode! Been so long...

I know Ready at Dawn for their kick-ass PSP games and seeing them fall off into the Oculus hole is so sad. Feels like Sony Bend is gonna follow suit if they can't get something out.
Act 3 is some nonsense. But it's cool nonsense.
Despite being a Destructoid alumni, I am very behind on cock 'n' balls technology. The only thing coming to mind is the final boss of Dante's Inferno.
Curiosity will get the better of me one of these days.

Your ultimate goal is to get to level 15 with a strong weapon (preferably a boss weakness), tons of perks earned from field bosses, good passives on weapons in your other slots and a couple of extra flasks from churches if you can manage. Routing well is king, but there's a ton of stuff to learn.
Keys are used in Evergaols, which are great as quick side objectives on the way to other places as long as you are level 3. They don't give weapons, but instead quick runes and maybe a perk.

Mines are also quick and let you route underground. The upgrade stone you earn is a good back-up on bad RNG.
Generally, it's best to let more experienced people guide you at first.

When you land, you will often be at a small camp that lets you level up once, which really bumps up your stats. Always do that.

Then, a fort or a cathedral are good picks since they're easy and contain spell tools and keys.
His attempts to care about video games are valiant, but fading, sadly. But I have picked up the mantle.

If he got a 4K TV and some good concert Blurays, he might jump on a new Playstation though.
I have received word that 8th gen consoles are officially done.

My dad told me out of nowhere that he needs a PS5 for the new Battlefield instead of his PS4. This is the only reliable metric.

Raw final message to leave the world with.
The boss camera has been...something. It's like the camera man is ducking on the floor to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.
They added 1st-person mode to 1st Chapter. Gotta respect the pun.

I barely remember playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, but OG 2 is the shit, it seems. I have to assume Sigma 2 really is that boring, because the first two missions in vanilla 2 have more to offer than either version of the first game. It's just a whirlwind of carnage and good brain chemicals.

Don't worry, their 11th (or whatever) mobile game will surely be a hit with the kids and their parent's credit cards. It's a strategy without fail, or at least until FF14 stops providing them with easy money injections.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma being a gigantic notch easier on normal does a lot to smooth over my misgivings with Black, but the improvements to controls, camera and annoying little bits shouldn't go ignored.

This is the version I recommend, but it still isn't that good. Onto NG2!

They did the scientific thing and tested it out by putting Horizon Forbidden West on their expensive tier. Sales immediately tanked horrifically, so they have never done it since and concluded that GamePass could never work.

Holy shit someone uploaded the entire stage play adaptation of the Yakuza videogame series with English subtitles and it’s glorious and 500x better than the Amazon show youtu.be/Z2Msr4si6dU?...
I've done 2 Rachel levels so far and discounting the optional "defeat 60 fiends" side objectives, they are so inoffensive compared to the shitty sections of Black like the aqueduct and the swimming after it.

Sigma has barely changed yet, but seeing the pendulum bridge gone is a sight for sore eyes.
I am double-checking what Sigma was like, but the three hours I spent in the aqueduct in Black completely eliminated any faith I had in the "Sigma ruined the tight pacing of Black" argument.

The Rachel chapters could still be awful though, I don't remember. Gotta get to the bottom of this.
