New to my store,I’m have sapele #mahogany #wood hair sticks with various choices of inlay, with a little carved piece on the top or even with the choice to add charms. The perfect #handmade #fashionaccessory to add to your look.
#Newzealand #Jade a #semipreciousstone known as #pounamu. One of the first stones I ever worked with in a little town on the #NZ South Island. It’s the stone that started it all for me and now my work is shipped #internationally all over the world.
More work I’ve done with other forms of #NewZealand #pounamu #serpentine. A #semipreciousstone that can make or great and unique #jewellery #pendants for every day wear. All hand carved in my own studio in #Medway #Kent.
The #goddess, the ultimate symbol of the #divinefeminine, to me she is a symbol of strength, the ultimate representation of what it is to be a #woman. She gives me empowerment, from working with the female form and how she works in the #spiritual world and the #wiccan and #pagan beliefs.
#yewwood, one of my favourite wood types. To many #spiritual faiths it is a sacred wood type along wide oak. I adore the colours, natural grain and patina you get when making #Jewellery #pendants from this wood, for those preferring #nature based materials.
#motherofpearl #shell #jewellery, I usually get these as old clocks, soap dishes, key bowls, all trinkets and things people no longer want. I rarely get animal bi product first hand I prefer #secondhand so it creates a lot less waste by using what’s already in circulation.
#balticamber, continuing with the “the materials I have worked with in the past” posts. A #fossil specimen tree sap from Poland and Ukraine area, usually with pollens, moss and leaf debris contained in them, some time the odd insect, and makes my studio smell beautiful when carving.
My work so far with #icelandic #volcanic #basalt, referring to historic designs from the museums around #Reykjavik. I get given stones from peoples travels all the time, though I do ask that they follow the laws of the land if they do this, These were beach pick ups, out side of the nature reserves.
A little bit of my previous #jewellery work with #alaskan #nephritejade #semipreciousstone, influenced by the #polynesian #jadecarvers Who got me started on this journey. I’ve been learning how to add my own twist using shell inlay to combine two natural elements.
One of my favourite #semipreciousstones or #crystals is the Haast pass #serpentine from #NewZealand. I adore the little metallic flex’s of Hematite and the #stone polished up so well, with a really nice smoothness. It’s an easy stone to work with that makes for beautiful #jewellery.
After an interactive #stageset for an #event? This is my sunken prison barge based on the #history of the #rivermedway the the #medwaytowns. With bubbles the fish #puppet that also feature a video projection on sails of historical themed #artwork by #localartists. Made of 70% #recycled materials.
What can I do a little differently to a #fossils by #carving them to add something unique to someone’s #collection, or a unique piece of #naturalhistory to your #craft #fashion. Each piece of #jewellery or #pendants are a one off piece of #art.
Hello! Thank you. At least I’m not alone then, I’ve noticed finding people is not as easy as other platform yet. I’m excited to find another carver though!
These older long since sold pieces are made from #newzealand #rimuwood. They were originally pen blanks, turned into #jewellery #pendants to represent and honour the #culture the material originated from and the country that started me on this incredible journey.
A regular clients order from a year ago. An avid #crystal collector, he likes his #semipreciousstones to be just a little more unique than every one else’s. This one he chose a #Tigerseye #pendant.
The blanks used for the #woodturning community, especially the bowl blanks, comes with wood waste. No tree trunk is perfectly circular so they get trimmed. I have found ways of turning that trimmed wasted material into #upcycled #homeware and #homedecor.
They are long since sold stock but trying to show what I can do here. #Newzealand #swampkauri was estimated 10k years old, I bought the wood as a plate. A travellers unwanted souvenir. I #upcycled that sub fossil plate into hand carved #pendants and wearable #naturalhistory.
So you have gone on #holiday and brought back those tourist made #trinkets from th souvenir shops, like #pāua from #NewZealand. Got bored of them and put them on eBay. Ever wondered what happens to them? People like me buy them and #upcycle them into new things like #jewellery.
I live 5 minutes from the #RiverMedway, this river has safe spots, in the spots you will find so much pottery. During lockdown it became an import resource for me. I now turn thrown away pottery into wearable #jewellery and beads.
#seaglass, locally resourced, drilled in my studio. I have top drilled, centre drilled, connector and can provide them pre strung for decorations. In a variety of sizes. Colours will vary. Great for #ecocraft.
What materials do I use for my #Jewellery work.
Recycled objects, wood, stone, fossils, sub fossils, glass, silver, pewter, copper and resins.

My current favourite is #fenlandbogoak a #britishwood with a history.
Old video but learning to get to grips with a new social platform. So hi! I am a #stonecarver and #jewellerdesigner, well more over all #craftswoman based in #Medway, with a studio at @nucleusarts.bsky.social. I was bugged to sign up to this and I’ve caved.
