Unconstitutional Congressional maps, reducing the time ballots can be received in the mail, and making it easier to purge valid voters are all forms of voter suppression and all have been recently done by Ohio Statehouse Republicans. And now they won't even answer questions about it. We explain here

This week's ICYMI highlights seven predictions made by Senator Blessing during the hours-long debate on Ohio's property tax crisis. I just wish more Ohio Statehouse Republicans would have listened to one of their own. Happy Thanksgiving Ohio and Go Buckeyes!

Tonight I was able to join Santa Claus and a few other area Democrats for the Sparkle on the Square holiday tree lighting at Shaker Square. Yes I am wearing a Kid Tigrrr beanie.

The Cuddler and I made mac n cheese for today's family holiday meal. Afterwards she was on pan-licking detail so that pot will be immediately reused. The Cuddler has volunteered to lick clean any pan across Ohio's 21st Senate District both today and during Black Friday.

One of the best things about announcing the 20th anniversary of the Burning River Roller Derby charity bout was all the alumni skaters who returned to watch the action. Like these four great Americans.

Last Friday I was able to join a collection of activist leaders from the National Council of Jewish Women CLE for a discussion about what's going on in Columbus. As a bonus - most of them live in my State Senate district.

I am behind on my social media, but ... The recent voter suppression legislation in Columbus makes me thankful that Allison Russo is running for Ohio Secretary of State. Allison will protect voters and run safe and fair elections. I was proud to help welcome her to Euclid on November 15th.

The Ohio GOP voter suppression bills keep coming because they are trying to steal the 2026 midterms. This week that included making it easier to purge valid voter registrations. If you have a common name, your ability to cast a ballot could be in jeopardy. We explain in this week's ICYMI.

Today the campaign leadership and I turned in our Ohio State Senate campaign petitions. I am running for reelection in 2026. #SendKentBackToColumbus

Last week, I said a gerrymandered map would not be the last thing the Ohio GOP would do to try to steal the 2026 midterms. In this week's ICYMI, we discuss SB 293, which was passed by the Senate in just 3 weeks. If it was law in 2024, 10,000 legal votes would not have been counted.

I was proud to join State Rep Eric Synenberg, other local leaders, and those who served at the Euclid Veterans Day ceremony. Today's program had several interesting quotes from speakers like, "Our nation needs leaders who seek to give to this country, not take from it."
