It's a downward trend for Nat and Luxon. He should be worried.

Oh, fuck it.
I've definitely had more rosé than is recommended for a menopausal woman.
But.
It was in honour of an awesome niece.
And from where I can see, the kids deserve all the fricken brilliant things they want in life
🥂💕
So apparently, the jobs exist (either Willis or Upton said so this morning, so ofc that's real facts 🤔) and the 18 and 19 yr olds just need to move to where those jobs are (so says Luxon)

FFS...

Nevermind the hoops jobseekers already have to jump, let's create an extra cruel step
🤬🤬
Aperitif in Greytown.
Good food, good company, and good drinks 🥂
Thanks for a lovely evening
Really enjoyed making these PJs from the most delicious linen from @joansfinefabric.bsky.social ... just the buttonholes and buttons until they're wearable!

this up until I'm 73. Even if I wanted to.
Those fat cat sorted boomers who have milked to system before us ordinary folk can fuck the hell outta here.
Paying for my own retirement, paying for my kids education, supporting my parents. Working my ass off.
I am ready to take them on!

That's maybe 20 years away for me. I've never worked harder in my life than where I am at the moment. It includes ridiculous hours on top of the 40 I'm paid for. Which I'm ever hopeful the end is in sight. I'm exhausted despite loving what I do. I don't work a hard physical job. I could not keep
🤔
Unsure if Collins was late in letting the boss know, or
... the boss forgot to join the 4pm call
If I'm honest, i should probably have declined that last beersie
Bloody hell
Ran out of my 15 hours of audiobook hours on Spotify. Again. And the library has a THIRTY FOUR week wait on the book 😵😭
I've been avoiding listening to the news for the past few weeks. Sometimes avoidance just helps the anxiety reduce. My audio book finished. I listen on the way to and from work. B/c I was driving i flicked to RNZ. And heard MoE has banned a reader cos it has 6 māori words. wtf. We ban books now??
🤯🤬
Welly on a Plate / Burger Welly... Yoshi's Umami Explosion... 9/10. Would eat again.
Only a 9 as it was the first, and there room for something to come in better, but i doubt that will happen
🍔
Some guy was being a dick and he got served. Love to see it!
They really live in an uncaring selfish bubble 😵
God feet and toes are dreadfully ugly things when you have to PAY attention to them!
Have a wee issue that I need to see a foot person about. They requested pics, so I have provided them. With my eyesight, I also get to view them more clearly in a pic now.
Eeeeww!! 🤢
The outright gaslighting is just exhausting 😩
"what I'd say to you" is when actual government ministries/ departments/ agencies, the human rights commission, law society, and someone so specialised in nz constitutional law as Palmer all oppose the bill, god damn, you need to listen!!
Army recruit applications
~72% m / ~28% f

Nursing students ~ 7% m / ~93% f

Teaching students ~24% m / ~76% f

My point is simply: why do female dominated professions lack support in training while similar-ish male dominated professions don't??????
So. Police recruits, tradie apprentices, army recruits get paid while they train.

Nurses and teachers do not. PLUS nurses and teachers have to PAY to undertake their training.

Police ~86% m / ~ 14% f
Trade apprenticeship applications <10% generally female (trs.co.nz)
