A friend wanted a pincushion so spent yesterday making these. Charity shop china cups and fabric scraps. Fun to make!

I seem to have become the kind of middle-aged woman that does lake swimming and owns a wetsuit, gloves and socks. Forgot to get a photo kitted up at the lake but omg what a difference it makes! Last time I was shivering uncontrollably afterwards and my hands and feet were painful but not this time!
My Facebook memories are full of these photos today, they make me feel so sad now. I will always remember the million-voiced cheer that went up when the Letwin amendment passed but ultimately we were ignored then, and continue to be now.
How do I know all the words when I was only born in 74? I couldn't sing anything in the charts from this year, but can still sing stuff that was released when I was one!
Same here, but I wish I was more Ogg.
Before covid I ran a cross country running club at my kids school, a local rang school to complain adults were encouraging the children too loudly and we woke them at 8.30am. Another complained that when we ran past we startled a duck in their garden. Some people just hate children.
During covid times son and mates (11yo) built some muddy bumps to bike over at the edge of a wood between where the dog walkers parked and the woods tracks began. Wholesome outdoors fun. Local arsehole complained to the woodland trust who flattened them. Bet same person moans about 'kids on screens'

Yes makes sense to me too, and sounds like they want to avoid unnecessary rummaging. Have a comfy day providing scritches and don't overexert especially half an hour after taking the painkillers and thinking you feel fine.
I'm not surprised. When do you see someone to talk through what they did and why, and what they found? Difficult girding your loins for a gizzardectomy only to wake up and find them still in situ and not fixed!
That's a strange choice for them to make but glad you're home safe and feeling ok. Hope that your recovery is swift!
Awww. Thinking of you today x
Cannot stress enough how much I don't want to talk to my computer to do my work, and how much more I don't want the people I share office space with to be talking to their computers.
What a sad little life they must lead. I would pity them if they were worth the effort of thinking of them at all.
You look amazing in that colour! Big hugs for the Big Feelings, you are still this beautiful x
I wrote to him once to ask what the N word was from Soul Music, he replied and told me to read more books. I eventually found out thanks to an episode of The Simpsons 😄
Very much so, and with many re-reads. Now I'm older I like the madcap farce of some of the early one less, but there was always humour and wisdom and layers of meaning.
Basically, yes. I've always got one more waiting, that I can look forward to reading one day. I started reading them the year Equal Rites was published in paperback and waiting for the next one was always full of anticipatory joy.
I still can't bring myself to read the last one.
Ouch! Hope that heals fast, sounds horribly painful.
Yes, outside my back door. Idiots did not get themselves to safety. Last time we had a pond with fish we ended up having to put a metal grill over it to fend off the herons after they cleared out the first fish population. Was optimistic hiding would work but clearly not 🙄
Uh oh, just had to chase away a visitor to my pond! I have lots of rocks in there for the fish to hide under but obvs they were just milling about. Fools.
