Once described as an air traffic controller combined with a zamboni driver.
Am I allowed to lob a stapler at a salesguy who drops off a brochure for his webinar about using AI to do my job? Especially if he was gesturing at the job tickets on my desk as an example of work that could be eliminated?

Ah, the aftermath of the Ignatius book fair, wherein Teddy starts nitpicking the accuracy of the Carlo Acutis graphic novel “how are they playing Mario Kart on the original Xbox‽”

Tucked inside of my toque in my tote bag is indeed safe, mostly from myself.
Having a knitting project chewing puppy means that I put the finished sleeve of the sweater I’m working on somewhere so safe that I haven’t managed to remember where the safe place is 🤦‍♀️

The puppy got a hold of a kids library book, when I returned it and asked about replacing it they charged me $8 to replace it and sent the damaged one home with us. So now I have a kid who’s excited about damaged library books because they get to keep them.

My condolences to all of the single men in our diocese who attend mass on a regular basis. The diocese announced an initiative to help them identify potential vocations and it includes flyers in the pews that people can fill out to make recommendations of persons who might be of interest.

I’m not sure how I’ll like trying to check fit on a bottom up sweater, especially one for a preschooler, but it is nice to get the sleeves out of the way first.

We’ve dispensed nearly all 150 bags of chips, with the last left outside for any latecomers. Busiest Halloween we’ve had in a while.

For reasons unknown to me, the local McDonalds hosts our school for a Halloween party, complete with costume contest and dispense-your-own ice cream cones.

If these kids take to skating, I should probably buy stock in a hockey laces company.

The best part about getting to know your neighbors (at least for today) is that eventually you find someone who uses the same brand of battery-powered yard tools as your house’s previous owner left behind, and you get to get some stuff out of your garage, and they get new tools. Everybody wins!

I’m unclear on how my favorite gas fireplace repair guy makes any money. When he was here a few years ago he spent 45 minutes poking around the old stove only to explain that while he could attempt to fix it, it would probably be better if we replaced it and then didn’t charge me for his time.
