It was great to visit my just published (with @srlpublishing.bsky.social) cli-fi thriller Overspill in my local indie bookshop yesterday - News from Nowhere Liverpool. There’s nothing like seeing your own book in your favourite bookshop! #BookSky

Palestinians will feel understandable relief. The West should feel nothing but shame. Gaza has been obliterated. The territory rendered uninhabitable. Tens of thousands murdered in cold blood. The entire population subjected to starvation tactics. And now, colonial subjugation under Trump and Blair

Excellent investigation here. I am still at a loss as to how the UK Government can define damaging planes or other property as terrorism, but shooting thirsty children who are standing in a queue for water as part of a nation's self defence and neither terrorism or genocide...
The UK government was secretly advised that Palestine Action is “highly unlikely” to advocate for violence while officials struggled to produce evidence the group posed a national security threat, it can be revealed.

Poverty is a political choice, and this Government could be making different ones.

Tax the super-rich properly. Don't punish disabled people.
The Government's own assessment says 250,000 people, including 50,000 children, will be pushed into poverty by its plans to change the welfare system.

Many Labour MPs are now doing the right thing and attempting to stop this cruel Bill.

Remember, poverty is a political choice.
REAL HOPE. REAL CHANGE.

I was really pleased to represent @wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk on my home turf (cycle track!) on Saturday at @merseycyclists.bsky.social's Cycling Summit. Many diverse groups were represented throughout the day, highlighting both the need and potential for #InclusiveCycling in the region.
Photograph shows three white men and one white woman (me!) seated in front of a Merseyside Cycle Campaign banner. Another white woman stands in front of the panel offering a microphone and everyone is smiling.
Cycling can be life-changing for many #Disabled people, providing autonomous mobility, transport, health and social participation.

It's essential that we all see people "like us" cycling and that cycling, sustainability and #ActiveTrave campaigners champion #InclusiveCycling.
The 'Our Cycle Stories' series shines a light on our fantastic Staff and Trustees and their journeys to #InclusiveCycling and to us. Next up, our first Trustee in the series, is stalwart of the #ActiveTravel scene, Kevin! wheelsforwellbeing.o...
