This is the third release from The Borders Distillery in Hawick:
Blended Scotch Whisky (75:25 malt to grain ratio)
The grain element = rye #whisky matured in cognac casks
Some of the single malt was matured in red wine casks; some in ex-bourbon
UCF - bottled at 40%

The new Ardgowan #Distillery in Inverkip is aiming to produce between 750,000 and 1 million litres per year. Interestingly, there's space next to these stills for another pair of stills - meaning output could be doubled in the future.

Dram 4 - Palate - nice, thick texture. Hints of maple syrup, Nutella (although I haven't had that in yonks!) and overripe strawberries. Nose suggested this would be a 'green' whisky but it's actually more of a red one #BraveNewSpirits
