I'm in Texas and I do it because it does matter. There's a lot of dissent across the board right now. Your reps being red isn't an excuse, it's more reason to take 3 minutes and say some words at their receptionist

far right, puritanical interests got to where they are due to years, if not decades, of grassroots pressure.
To fight it, we have to be prepared to do the same. Make your fight sustainable to prepare for a long haul.

Even reaching the required number of signatures doesn't guarantee that a law change will take place; in fact, it's highly unlikely. However, it further applies pressure to the payment processors, which continue to make things difficult for consumers.

Mastercard, Visa and Paypal can excuse an unsafe website like Roblox, which is aimed at children and is suing people who collaborate with authorities to arrest predators but they draw the line when Steam doesn't want to remove adult games that don't pretend to glorify some topics

If it's not an adult game you can try Game Jolt or IndieDB, there aren't many elsewhere that you can just upload games. But also, if you didn't know about Game Jolt, it's also a site struck by censorship a long time ago.

Really you should just put on Itch, or all these sites if possible.

like DLsite, the biggest Japanese sites that allow people to sell their own manga, games, novels, including R18 content, similar to Itch, these people also tried to have those content taken down but the site refused, now it's very complicated if you want to buy anything there if you're not in Japan.
