Carney is now saying he is announcing a joint first ministers meeting next year where First Nations will set the agenda, and he is also committing water legislation will be introduced in the Spring. There is wide applause. #cdnpoli #Indigenous

The debate is continuing and it is going long - I am told by 3 sources that for that reason the vote on S-2 may not happen today...I am keeping an eye on it just in case. Even if the Senate votes yes- it is not a law- we talk about what happens next on Nation to Nation 2nite #indigenous #cdnpoli
