I had occasion to watch the 1951 movie Quo Vadis. The parallels to our modern “Rome” are prophetic. An old but well meaning Claudius is succeeded by the mad Nero, a malignant narcissist like ours. He burns down Rome to make it great again, ending himself as the army comes to oust him. Past echoes.

It was reported that trump has run up a golf bill of $26 million in just over 60 days. At this rate the manchild will have wasted well over $600 million just to cheat at golf. It is beyond time for the sane states to contemplate the steps required to declare their local Republican Parties as subversive insurrectionists. Remove them from all future ballots. Require all current office holders to swear to uphold the Constitution and renounce the Rep Party
