Really enjoyed the Mississippi Center for Justice Gala and Social Justice Brunch. Such great work and and inspiration for us all. Had to wait until I was back in Arkansas to post this though, since Bluesky can’t operate in MS.
Down Home Blues was my fave as a kid. My dad would give me money for the juke box and that was always my choice.

🚨 UPDATE on the current COVID vaccine access situation in the US.

Please note that this is based on state laws but different things may be happening on the ground, and some pharmacies are defaulting to federal guidelines instead of state laws.

Evidently she, Cree Summer, does a lot of voice work. Plus she has some great music that I have on a playlist. Hope all is well!
I was thinking about Scott today and the brief time I spent as his student at a Cold Spring Harbor Drosophila genetics class and was saddened to learn of his passing. He was an excellent teacher and made a significant impact. I'm grateful to have known him and will continue to think of him fondly.
Excited for Juneteenth, my favorite holiday. Thinking of my family who were enslaved - Mose Neal, Andy Suttles, Griffin Henry Belk (pictured), Jim Neal, Burrell Green (USCT Regiment 11, Company B), Jane Green, Sarah Suttles, Elizabeth Neal, and more.
