ASKS President Maile Podlewski shared a beautiful manaʻo at yesterday’s Kula Kiʻekiʻe chapel. A charge for each of our haumāna to live up to the vision of Ke Aliʻi Pauahi and honor her legacy through a commitment to serving others.

We are profoundly moved by the swell of support rising from every part of our pae ʻāina and beyond as we face the beginnings of what could be a serious challenge to the will of Ke Aliʻi Pauahi.
Ultimately our goal as a kula is to empower our learners to reclaim and advance their Hawaiian identity and lāhui through their unique purpose and kuleana.

Take a look back over the last year at our middle school to see the incredible learning through hands-on, relevant, and engaging experiences. Five different areas of focus throughout the year emerged as major themes around the impact of ʻŌiwi Edge teaching and learning:
Our Kula Waena proudly presents our first annual impact report. In this issue, Kula Waena explores five ways they’ve reimagined school—journeying through history, our local communities, the globe, and into the hearts of our haumāna, as they thrive today because of Hawaiian ancestral knowledge.
To help carry those values forward, Kamehameha Schools has refreshed its Our Faith webpage, a digital space grounded in scripture, manaʻo and multimedia created by nā kahu to support our spiritual growth.
