March 2025 was the second warmest March on record in the ERA5 dataset, only behind the record set last year (2024). This is despite weak La Nina conditions in the tropical Pacific.

It was 1.6C above preindustrial levels, up slightly from February.

I think quantifying mutual feedbacks among the economic module, the sociological module (technology diffusion, policy investment, etc.), and the climate module is crucial—though human factors are often the most unpredictable elements.

even modest GDP impacts can accumulate significantly through dynamic, bidirectional coupling between economic performance and climate impacts.

Moreover, these losses may delay technology development, policy implementation, and market acceptance, ultimately extending the decarbonization process...

I'm not an economist, but I truly appreciate Professor @richardtol.bsky.social 's summary of the challenges.

I think that in reality, each economic loss triggers a cascade in subsequent years...

✨ Under optimal conditions, the renewable transition could happen 13 years earlier than expected.
📉 Long-term energy demand is reshaped by economic feedbacks.

This is my first formal research using an IAM.

Most IAMs assume linear pathways. ISEEEC breaks that mold by modeling:
🔁 Climate-induced economic damages
⚡ Energy demand feedbacks
🔄 Shifts in the energy mix

Excited to present my Master's thesis soon!
We developed the ISE3C model—a new integrated assessment model capturing dynamic feedbacks between economic growth, energy use, and climate impacts. 🌍⚡📉
