Trump on No Kings: It says no kings we're allowed to have one
this one definitely got a bit of a double take from me...
They actually did build a new launcher that strips out most PC functions to maximize available compute/memory for games (it requires a reboot to jump to full Windows 11)

But that functionality is available in full Windows 11 now too via registry hack
I suppose I mean it's a function of how all domains are really ASCII, the domain registrar or name server isn't doing anything new/special behind the scenes to make it work?
I don't think it's behind the scenes so much - that link actually has some of the technical details, it's the punycode ASCII version of the Unicode emoji.
They are allowed, I believe GoDaddy will sell them!

I miss the era of big companies spending a silly amount of money to take photos like this - I wanna say Google also did this for Pixel backgrounds back in the day and it was always really cool.
The thing I appreciate about Jeep folks is that the community identified the issue and had temp fixes out essentially right away that got most people back up and running
Really hoping for another set of 'Reconfigured' remixes to the new NIN soundtrack (which is also very good)...
Huh Dennis Hastert where have I heard that name before wasn't he like an Epstein sort of guy
Honestly the beta sold me, it does feel a lot more like those older games and they've said that making a proper successor is a goal...
Jay: ... I'm saying if you were a sheep, would you fuck a sheep, if you were another sheep?
Brent: Well, in that case, you bet your sweet ass I would.
Jay: Yo, this motherfucker ain't one of us. He said he'd fuck a sheep!

Captures Florida perfectly - the farther north you go the further South you get...
When "you can't park there mate" goes wrong
There's a pretty huge difference between giving that data to authorities via a warrant (which, every company will do, duh) and giving it to third party advertisers, no?
Eh, read the actual description of the service, it's absolutely useful for a security system to be able to do this...

And yeah it's part of their paid Google Home tier
They have improved AI alerts as well (and the summary is customizable to focus on what is important to you)
I made my peace with Google having access to my entire life's data a long, long time ago, it's not something I'm super worried about... They have pretty good protections on what this data can and can't be used for.
Nah, these are legitimately useful for a security system (certainly much better than the current mess of scrolling through a ton of borderline useless 'package/vehicle/person detected' alerts or scrubbing through hours of video to figure out what happened)
Kinda useful to be fair...
Honestly another place The Onion could lead is suing these AI content vampires.
When someone replies to your email
I'll never forget the grizzled old appliance salesman telling me that installing gas appliances was "the easiest, most dangerous thing you could do yourself at home"

Of course, I did install my own gas oven and dryer...
It's an interesting question, The World already has a daily newsletter so this could cause confusion...
Nah man already got @theworld.org find a different name
