#3dprinting STL credit: Small pumpkin tea-light holder is by Aether Studios. Look for them on MyMiniFactory.
#FilamentFriday thoughts are really about Saturday. I can't march due to health issues. My role must be that of a supporter, a cheerleader, a cleric, a bard. So I shall print things that will hopefully bring joy to others, so that when they take a break they can also recharge for another round.

Report from a driver friend: #ICE raiders were at Lyft/Uber driver waiting areas at #O'Hare airport, twice today, at 10:30am and 2:15pm.
(Yeah, it was hours ago, but heads up in case y'all might be in the area.)
#FilamentFriday sees the first *Christmas* sale ad of the year.
Yo, Sunlu, it ain't even Halloween yet, WTAF??
I remember when safflower seeds were advertised as something you'd set out to because "only cardinals will want these". Supposedly, other birds wouldn't eat them and would stay away from your feeders and you'd just get cardinals....
#WeirdWednesday brings us a Music Thought of the Day:
Counting in 7/4 is deeply weird.
OTOH, it's Rush, so 7/4 is to be expected. Along with 5/8 and whatever other oddball time signatures like "WTAF even IS that time signature?"

Huzzah!
MLGB is back!! Delighted that Medieval Libraries of Great Britain @bodleian.ox.ac.uk is now back online. We are also working had on plans for the next phase of the resource, enhancing & adding data & functionality. HUGE thanks to my colleagues for their hard & clever work mlgb.bodleian.ox.ac.uk
Amazon had this with Kindle Vella.
They did a "first chapter free" model. They sold credits for unlocking additional chapters.
When I worked out the per-book pricing, it was insanely expensive.
#3Dprinting part terminology is...inconsistent at best. Knowing that the "part fan" IS the "front housing fan" would've saved me a couple of hours of troubleshooting.

Replaced PTFE tube. Forgot which way the back tube holder thingy goes on. Important? for tiny round blue clip that holds ??? in place there. Finally found video with pic.
Went to replace tube holder thingy and blue clip.
Dropped blue clip into printer. #facepalm
On all the "[#] steps to fascism" lists I've seen, at least 80% of them have happened recently in the US.
If you live outside the US: Do not go to that country while its fascist government is in power.
If you live in the US: GTFO if you can.
Start of the #FilamentFriday playlist, Carly Simon's 3D printing song.

It's making me wait
(it's soooo slooooow)
It's keeping me way-ya-ya-iting....
Important note: If you Strongly Disagree on all of their questions(statements) about how AI can be useful for TTRPGs, they will end the survey on you long before you get to anything like ethical concerns.
If that's you, this survey will take maybe 2 minutes. Go for it.
First I've heard of this idea, but I like it.
Activities for the day could include music, reading, donating books, and the movie of the day.
#3dprinted on #FilamentFriday, stuff I did not expect to print when I bought the silk copper filament:
Copper pipes for tabletop miniature games.
The heroes meet in the town, at the Four Badgers Inn, before going into the mushroom forest and mushroom caverns. There, they meet the 🐍
Spending so much time in #3D apps -- both #3Dprinting and #3Dmodeling -- that I'm finding myself trying to rotate photos so I can see what's behind something in the picture.
CVS has called to let me know that I can get a covid booster the day after Gov. Pritzker signed the "anyone can get a covid shot" paperwork.
For y'all in states where they might ask about high-risk issues and vaccine relevancy, here's a helpful doctor's note.
I like this. Since under RFK Jr, Covid shots are now for people with underlying conditions that put them at risk, Michigan’s chief medical executive Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian states that not having the most recent Covid shot constitutes such an underlying condition.

#FilamentFriday and I'm test-printing some tabletop game scenery tiles.
"Silver" filament is *sometimes* metallic, depending on brand! Thus it took 9 tries to figure out optimum settings for these.
2 brands of filament, 3 layer heights, ~80min per tile.
like a couple of decades longer
#WIPWednesday looks like it's #3dprinting donuts.

They're chess pieces.
Newbie question: How many matching elements are needed for a conclusion?
‘Cause I lost count after 12 or so
#Xfinity internet went down 2 hours ago. Now I’m seeing an estimate that it won’t be back on for another 6.5 hours.
Thousands of people — and businesses — are affected in the Chicago area.
Tell me again why internet access should not be classified as a public utility?
