Economist. History nut. Politophile.

I don't suffer fools or criminals, so if you are either, go away.

Fight on my men, I am hurt, but I am not slain; I'll lay me down and bleed a-while, And then I'll rise and fight again.

One thing I do know is that when this AI bubble bursts, whoever fails needs to fail. No more of our money for free while we can barely feed ourselves or afford medicine.

Something Ominous Is Happening in the AI Economy
The last time so much wealth was tied up in such obscure overlapping arrangements was just before the 2008 financial crisis.

The Mob Boss in the White House should understand how much he offends people when he calls the word "Affordability" a "Democrat con job." The political and personal price he may pay for his arrogance and tone deafness cannot be underestimated.

So Trump is now going on tour to tout his economic successes. But the old man forgets that you can talk all the bullshit you want about your economic success, but you cannot fool people about the amount of money being sucked out of their wallets.

He will rue the day he won on affordability.

Trump and the Treasury are currently bragging about U.S Treasury yields going up on 10 and 30-year bonds.

This is a bad thing. It means borrowing costs are going up. The utter economic illiteracy of those in charge of our government's finances is dumbfounding to say the least.
December 9, 2025 at 3:11 PM
So Trump's tariffs are working out so great that once again, the taxpayer is left bailing out the farming community with a 12 billion dollar check.

I am tired of paying for people who frankly sabotage themselves and then expect the rest of us to pay.

No thanks. Time to clean house.

One rule of politics: If the economy is bad, it overtakes all other issues short of a major, all-encompassing war. Trump didn't get the memo. Nor did Biden.

Good question. Everyone from Trump to Miller and Drunk Frat Boy Hegseth is an outright racist piece of trash. The fact that anyone voted for them makes me want to vomit.

Even though I am not a fan of the 90s overall, I do miss the more quaint time when the worst thing a President was doing while in office was getting handsy with an intern and being chummy with the banks.

Trump is ramping up for an illegal war in Venezuela over cartel trafficking after he freed one of the largest cartel traffickers in global history.

Just in time for the Epstein files.

Guess Americans need to die and be shot in order for Trump to save his own pedophile ass.

Wasn't there supposed to be some mass boycott of Black Friday?

Guess that went down the shitter.

Too many good deals at Walmart and Amazon for the mass of consumers to turn down.

I really hate holidays because of this consumerism obsession.

Capitalism ruined Christmas.

With polling of the Democratic brand at record lows, the party must embrace candidates willing to challenge entrenched corporate interests, fiercely oppose the Trump administration, and defy their own party’s orthodoxy.

Economic populism must rule the day. Too many are underwater for us not to.

I often hear that people in the United States no longer agree on the nation’s purpose, values, history, or meaning. However, it's important to recognize that this sense of disagreement isn't new; we have never been a uniform country in thought and purpose, even when it may have seemed that way.

Many of our issues with elected officials stem from the fact that we tend to choose candidates who are skilled at delivering catchy one-liners for sound bites rather than those who are committed to the hard and tedious work of governance.
