Love of the aesthetic is part of it. Plastic is a better material as well, and I personally love kitbashing. With resin that’s a pain. Also I only print in FDM because of the high requirements and risks or resin printing. I use 3d parts to spruce up my models though. And basing.

I guess the quality of the plastic and the fittings is what counts at that point. This is my first Italieri kit and the material is nice to work with, although it feels a little thin at times. Tamya I only used car models and they were lively. I adore their materials such as glue or putty though

Chassis is basically identical. I am using one for a Warhammer conversion and it looks exactly the same.

@nspband.bsky.social new cover album is quality. A nice injection of funky nostalgia straight into this drab Monday. Always enjoy their original stuff, but there is something magical in a good cover.

Oh the guy is taking the piss. His models are more GW than the statue in Hello is Lionel Ritchie. I’m not defending him, but the concept behind it. If he is taken down is a precedent that can be used against anyone. I am totally on board with GW banning proxies for shops and events, but no more.

It doesn’t matter if it is based on pre existing design. Nor if I believe that the guy is taking the piss. Inspiration has to be protected. Boxy robot with cannon can’t be allowed to become a precedent. Next will be human in armour and so forth. Corporations have to be given nothing. Nothing at all

Why doesn’t GW take on Blizzard and StarCraft then? GW has a history of acting like a big fish in a small pond, and the fact that this guy design resemble their stuff and might be used in their game is a fucking slippery slope. Now if this guy, who is a reasonable enough target, but after him, who?

Maximise shareholder value is business talk for getting into a company uninvited, strip it more than an exotic dancer that want to separate a horny fool from his money and then relocate all of your assets faster than you can say mass layoffs and bankruptcy.
