And the one time we went to the fairly-popular Northside Grill here in A2, my wife’s toast felt/smelled/tasted like someone had spilled “onion water” on it. Probably 15 years and we haven’t been back.
One unseasonably warm winter day we went for a family walk, kid in stroller and all, and ended up 1.5mi away at the brand new Tous Les Jours fancy bakery place. The absolute obnoxiousness of the other customers as we tried to make our way through sealed it: we will never be back.
We should just take this as inspiration and cultivate some deep cover candidates who can speak the language of Republican depravity this well, run them in deep red districts/states, and have them turn their coats when they get into office.
We spent a week in Athens and a week on Santorini, and the only times I felt like “I should’ve actually used the Rosetta Stone we bought” were - one not-particularly-prominent archaeological site in Athens - one seaside restaurant in Santorini where there was just this one waiter (it went fine)
Thank *you*, in turn. I am an overly-mindful extrovert (I want to connect with people, people give me energy, but I’m constantly afraid of foisting myself on people who aren’t interested) and that energy being out in the world has NOT been good for me.
I assume the Biden WH was appropriately to overly weird about this because of But Her Emails, and a Republican has just never meant a word they’ve said about security and never considered anything beyond the instructions to use Signal for reasons seen in the Mueller Report.
If a Dem is ever elected President again, they should break into prime time TV announcing that they mistook JD Vance’s car for a drug trafficker and blew it up, then in 15 minutes say “just kidding, but now do you see how fucked up this is?”
My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."
