“Easy,” she whispers as Eddie gasps for breath. “There we go. Breathe. In and out, it’s okay.”

“God,” Eddie coughs. “I’m— I’m so sorry—”

“It’s okay, you’re okay.”

“No, I…” He tries to shift his body more toward her, reaching across to wrap his right arm around her as he whimpers in pain. “I’m not. I’m not okay. I fucked up. I lied to you.”

“Eddie—”

“Please don’t go. Please don’t give up on me.”

a tumblr post by @astorytotellyourfriends:

this is partially @ebongawk's fault but

modern au where nancy, robin, and chrissy are in an 80s pop inspired grunge band (nancy's vox/guitar, robin's bass, chrissy's keys) who suddenly need to find a new drummer because robin was fucking their old one but then they broke up and she left the band which is TERRIBLE because they're about to be on a tour!!!

so they put up flyers to hold auditions and see half a dozen girls or so until eddie comes in to do his thing and nancy's like uhh hello what the fuck are you doing here and eddie says he's here for the audition and pulls out the flyer to prove it

and the three of them stare at him and ask did you miss the part where it says GIRL drummer

naturally, he did. he had tunnel vision!

anyway, he auditions and all three of them agree (nancy begrudingly so) that he's the best they've seen all day so they invite him to join the band, but as soon as he leaves nancy turns to the other two and states NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO FUCK THIS MAN DO YOU HEAR ME????

robin, naturally, objects because she's a lesbian through and through but nancy is like if i left you out you'd get mad you know that and robin agrees because yeah, she would. but chrissy??? chrissy agrees wholeheartedly because of course she's not going to do anything to jeopardize the band! she loves their band!

but ... eddie's cute. this is so going to be a problem.
