I previously bought these air purifiers from Amazon, but when my son wanted one this year, I checked the manufacturer's website. They were selling it at the exact same price AND they had free shipping!

Businesses are private property. Any business can refuse to allow ICE on their property without a judicial warrant. If raids are happening at Home Depot, then Home Depot is allowing it.

I'm at the supermarket and "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton is playing on the overhead. Sounds more than ever like an anthem of the resistance.

I think this is the time for a Big Beautiful Boycott in Los Angeles. It takes a lot of time and preparation for a general strike, but much less preparation to just Stop. Buying. Stuff.

I've never fixated on gas prices, but I seem to recall that some months ago, there were people who were up-in-arms over prices that were not even as high as these. To hear them tell it, gas prices were a threat to the American way of life. That talk seems to have stopped. I wonder what changed?

Are we all aware that Big Beautiful has language in it that would allow the president to disregard court orders? I didn't know until today.

If our electeds who are resisting this administration were smart, they would organize and make a plan for which representative will pester the White House about which issue, so that no issue is left on the back burner when the next outrage comes along.

I was stuck at a traffic light, so I could take a pic of some of the Hands Off protesters that we saw on Pico Blvd. in Los Angeles.

My favorite sign is the one that says "Make Orwell Fiction Again".

With all that's going on in our country, I want to focus more on buying less.

And it has me thinking about some of the ways our society puts expectations on us to buy stuff.
