Once again I showed my class the greatest documentary ever made about wrongful convictions. In “Presunto Culpable,” directed by my friend Roberto Hernandez, you see a wrongful conviction & exoneration in real time. No matter how many times I see it, I always cry.

⚡ A system built on fear, not facts. This is what wrongful conviction looks like from the inside.

Writing and publishing a book takes tremendous effort. It’s worth that effort when I read reviews like this and know the struggles of the wrongfully convicted are heard by yet another person. Get your copy today! a.co/d/8gvd863

New from me: Paul House, RIP.

He was wrongly convicted and sentenced to death. The prison system then failed to diagnose and treat his MS while the courts ignored his claims.

And today’s SCOTUS would likely have denied him the 16 years of freedom he finally enjoyed.
Paul House has died -- a wrongly convicted man whom John Roberts gave the okay to execute
House was finally freed in 2008. But under today's court, he'd likely still be on death row -- or worse.

Be grateful if you were lucky enough to be born in a country where you and your family are safe and have the opportunity to build a great life. Express that gratitude by not denying the same for other people.

Saw this gold plated Ferrari in Kensington. A Ferrari wasn’t getting enough attention? Had to get it gold plated?

I am pleased to report that the 4th edition of my book “Wrongful Convictions: Cases and Materials” is now available! This is not a casual read. It is a casebook designed to be used in undergrad, grad school, and law school classes on wrongful convictions.
