January 2nd seems like a great time to start my 2025 New Music thread.

It already looks like it'll be a great year for music! Follow along, and if you have any album suggestions based on what I've got here, please let me know.
Though seeing the Foo Fighters out in the middle of nowhere from miles away on rickety stands might be disappointing after seeing them front row in 2018
I might have to spend obscene money on that Foo Fighters/QOTSA show in Toronto next summer...
Last night's Avs game, between the time, the stupid calls, the awful broadcasting, and the dumb ending, was probably my worst hockey-watching experience since 2016-17 (non-playoff)

Bednar calls the explanation from the league and refs as to why the Landeskog goal was disallowed last night "complete nonsense" on Altitude Radio.
My "Reasons to Hate the Dallas Stars" list is getting very very long
Just to end on a semi-high note, the Avs don't have another ESPN broadcast until December 11. Unfortunately it's against Florida, so it will likely be as or more annoying than tonight.
I would like to thank the NHL for scheduling this late game on a night before one of my work-from-home days
It's really really disrespectful of the Avs to play like this during a late game
I really don't like how Landeskog just went into the boards or how he got up or how he skated off
Anyway, through 6+ games, my powerplay observation is that they should put Landeskog and Nichushkin on PP1 and move Nelson and Olofsson down to PP2
I had Biscoff toast instead of frosted flakes. Delicious but didn't really help.

Drury's goal is a good start though!
In case y'all couldn't tell, I'm grumpy today. So I need better Avs hockey.

And maybe some frosted flakes...
All this broadcast annoyance is taking away from the fact that the refs missed clear tripping, slashing, and boarding penalties on Utah this period.

ESPN is proud to announce the new NHL on ESPN theme, performed by Brigham Young University's very own Imagine Dragons!
Just wait until ESPN broadcasts the Canucks and interviews Kash Patel during the game
This is what local broadcasts are for
Why are they interviewing an owner during a broadcast? GM I understand, but an owner? Ick.
This didn't make any sense as an explanation as Guenther clearly pulled his stick and the puck back towards the blue line before Nichushkin's stick got anywhere near the puck
"His actions forced the Utah player to pull the puck back into his own end, and that's why the goal was called off."

I'm sorry, what? #GoAvsGo
