Trump is likely to start saying Dems support tariffs to confuse voters on who to blame. Unfortunately, Bernie Sanders, AOC, Chris Deluzio, and others do support tariffs

Progressives and Dem populists are helping Trump with their irresponsible tariff approach to placate unions that vote Trump

Progressives and economic populists are helping Trump.

Gretchen Whitmer is wrong, Joe Biden was wrong, and Bernie Sanders has never supported free trade — which inherently means he supports blanket tariffs. These are 1930s approaches to trade

Ovechkin scored the 894th goal of his NHL career in the third period Friday against the Chicago Blackhawks to draw even with Gretzky. It was his second goal of the night.

Literally the worst messaging and policy approach possible from House Democrats.

Whoever signed off on this should be fired immediately, and Rep Deluzio should face a primary challenge, today.
For today's Democratic Daily Download: meet @deluzio.house.gov.

He explains how Trump's trade policy has been a chaotic mess.

We're offering hardworking Americans real policies to strengthen their families and communities—not fake populism to distract from tax giveaways to huge corporations.

As Trump’s tariffs absolutely destroy the stock market and economy, it’s important to remember that progressives have been the faction that opposes free trade and supports tariffs, that Bernie Sanders ran against trade in 2016, and it’s why AOC is quiet right now.

Progressives won’t fix this

When MAGA folks say “no scalps” and pledge to stand by Hegseth no matter what, they are telling us something very important.

More mistakes will be made. Signalgate can happen again. They are fine w that.

People are going to get hurt.
“Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is facing scrutiny over his handling of details of a military strike, brought his wife, a former Fox News producer, to two meetings with foreign military counterparts where sensitive information was discussed”
Exclusive | Hegseth Brought His Wife to Sensitive Meetings With Foreign Military Officials
The defense secretary’s handling of sensitive information is under criticism after he shared details about a strike on Houthi militants in a group chat on a widely used app.

Jeffrey Goldberg and the Atlantic deserve a ton of credit for publishing these war plans. There’s a non-zero chance Trump tries to throw him in jail over this.
The Atlantic has now published the Signal texts with attack plans in response to administration denials.

I worked at the Pentagon.

If information like this is not classified, nothing is.

If Hegseth is claiming he declassified this information, he should be shown the door for having done so.

The texts shared a ton of classified info. It’s a simple test. If our enemy got this would it endanger the lives of our servicemembers and/or the mission? If the Russians had passed this to the Houthis our people would have died and the mission failed. RESIGN! www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

This Trump National security breach is so incredibly bad it has nothing to do with a journalist being on the signal thread.

In no way, shape, or form, should extremely classified information on war plans be shared on signal, a service being monitored by Russia, China and others.

A reminder that I warned everyone how stupid Pete Hegseth is and how much of a danger he would be to our national security as Secretary of Defense. This is before he mistakenly texted journalists highly classified war plans... www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

Senator Susan Collins is probably going to vote to confirm Tulsi Gabbard because she knows Gabbard won’t be confirmed and it will help her with Maine voters ; lots of weird Democrats (anti-Government) and Trump / Bernie Sanders voters in the state

What a desk to sit at. A legendary Senator and veteran of WWII.
I learned Senate floor desks have drawers where every Senator who used that desk carves their name. I just pulled out my drawer. 1 name jumped out. INOUYE. WWII Medal of Honor. Senator for ~ 50 yrs. AAPI trailblazer. I cannot believe I get to sit at the desk of a hero of mine.

Interesting article on Puerto Rico from a conservative publication. Dems have left the island behind, but Trump and Republicans can make it the crown jewel of America and set an example for Latin America.

The island could also turn GOP. Dems should be ashamed for listening to AOC

Glad the Democratic Party is putting Connolly, a serious, well respected Member in charge of Oversight during the Trump years. It’s more important than folks might realize
WE ARE STILL IN THIS.

This is the difficult business of hope and defying expectation.
We do not give up.
We run through the tape.

Y’all aren’t allowed to throw in the towel until I do. 😉

The Red Sox are making some serious moves this offseason.

Traded prospects for a potential Cy young winner.

And now looking to add another top of the rotation arm, and right handed bat.

The playoffs are back on in Boston
