What is your view on the electrification of Midland Mainline to Nottingham and Derby (and hence Beeston) being "paused" for at least the third time now. It was first planned over 10 years ago. Several major cities served by this constantly ignored rail line.

You read this headline and it sounds like new investment!
But it is in fact cuts to planned investment.
Midlands Main Line electrification has been "paused' once again, even though it actually saves money in the long term.

Terrible argument by doctor on #R4Today about #AssistedDying : it will take up too much of drs time (do terminally ill patients not get any care from drs?) and the amount of paperwork created by a death (again - terminally ill patient - paperwork will be required probably sooner rather than later)
