IIRC Cuomo specifically had people sick with Covid sent back to old folks’ homes resulting in more deaths. He killed a lot of grandmas at any rate

The Cuomo hate transcends normal politics it’s about him killing grammie & grampie & sexually harassing like your aunt

When I was a CRE broker in Denver sometimes I’d stay at the Magnolia like a couple blocks away after a long day

Get an overpriced cheeseburger

Work out in their gym

That’s more like a staycation, being in your own area

I’ve also stayed in hotels to minimize

If you’re in Western Mass, parts of Maine, parts of RI you can be seriously fucked if you don’t own a car and you don’t have any kind of degree

You’re just going to be REALLY curtailed in what’s open to you

For years: no bus to the community college

RI is heavily Catholic if you end up in trouble people are like ‘what did you do why won’t your family help you?’

The bus went to like downcity providence

And the type of strip malls that hire low income people

But opportunity was VERY limited

She had no internet at home

Someone like that is effectively trapped
I mean, she is a nice person I hope she was able to get her GED

But she is not commuting to New Haven or Boston

She was a townie & she was trapped

In that era there was no bus

My uncle is a doctor okay, all his kids joined the military or went to college
One summer I had a PT job at stop & shop
A girl there got talked into dropping out of HS by her mom who needed help w/her younger siblings
She didn’t own a car

It’s easy to get temp work, side jobs, even maybe be an extra in a film there

The people who really need Medicaid and subsidies for healthcare are trapped in a part time or low paying job
