My lab at SickKids in Toronto, Canada, studies brain development. We want to know how nerve cells wire to form complex neural circuits. Here for science, actions to make our world a peaceful, safe, and healthy place, laughs, and cycling.

Hi all. Frank passed peacefully with the love of his family on July 18, 2025 in London, ON. He was a wonderful human being who shared much of his life with you. We could not have asked for a better father, grandfather, friend, colleague, or mentor. 1/

Happy 107th Birthday, Brenda Milner! Her contributions to neuropsychology shaped the way we understand the human brain. From surviving two world wars and two pandemics, to paving the way for future generations of researchers, Milner’s legacy continues. @mcgill.ca @cusm-muhc.bsky.social

Have a great meeting and talk Caroline! I had to cancel my trip (broke my collarbone and getting surgery this week. Was looking forward to this meeting)

which brought more circuit-level understanding of the human brain and brought more connections between neurosurgery and fundamental neuroscience research.

This is the kind of gold standard science that will bring future treatments; it is a public good that only govt will invest in.
