Having a decent, compassionate, smart leader. It feels so long ago and far away.

Kimmel having his speech censored is in league with our immigrant neighbors being rounded up or pressuring doctors into dropping transgender patients. They are all weaponization of government against people.

Graham Platner, an oyster farmer from Maine, announced a bid for the seat of incumbent GOP Sen. Susan Collins.

His goal? To “claw back wealth that was created by the labor and the consumption of working class Americans who have not shared in the riches they helped build.”
Control of the Senate could be decided in Maine. This oyster farmer is vying to unseat Susan Collins.

Imagine if, instead of war memorials, in every town and village, there was a memorial to all the victims of domestic violence from that place.
"One of the reasons the epidemic of violence against women is so unacknowledged is because cases like these are talked about individually, and often treated as though they are shocking aberrations rather than part of a pervasive pattern that operates at all levels of society."

Trump is lying, but don’t minimize the damage done to the rule of law today. I agree with Justice Sotomayor that the Court has left it in tatters (see her dissent, p.44) and with Justice Jackson (see her dissent, p.1) ) that the Court has granted POTUS “permission to engage in unlawful behavior.”
This is a lie (as usual). While I disagree with the decision, IT LEAVES THE INJUNCTIONS OF THE BIRTHRIGHT EO IN PLACE, just narrows them to the plaintiffs. And it does not limit nationwide class actions, which will be filed to achieve the identical outcomes. The EO remains unconstitutional.
