This morning my ChatGPT quota was inexplicably exhausted.

It took a while but I pieced it together. Voice mode somehow got activated when I went to bed.

The bot then engaged in a 10 hour conversation with my snoring dog, answering questions the pup wasn’t asking and praising him for his insight.
Can we just comment it out?
Something’s coming up 💦
nerd sniping someone in the morning should be forbidden 😅
preview of a tiny app I'm working on currently. all built with Rails, Phlex and @webawesome.com:
Kid‘s birthday party no 3 today feels like NASA training… how many kids can you watch simultaneously while taking one to the bathroom, treating injuries of another and prepare the cake …
Then a weekend guest: the class mascot (a cat) complete with diary which we have to write an entry for.

Oh and I sent off three grant proposals (unpaid) and 25h of freelance work.

Anyone want to top this? 😂
Summary of my week: my daughter‘s birthday, so obviously 4 parties (2 to go)

Wednesday open day at 3 middle schools because we have to start the selection process.

Monday is a test at school so we practice orthography.
@ciciliani.bsky.social maybe my intentions regarding „idle game driven composition“ become clearer 😅
Continuing my experimentation with gamified musical performance environments - this time in an "idle game" called PastTense.

Added a new tier -> specify pulse BPM

As a thought experiment, I wonder what a Ruby web framework based on Ractors (immutability, data transformations) would look like. Probably a lot like Phoenix? 🤔
I am so absolutely right today...

Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.
Sigh. It‘s just that I really really like Rails. I’m in a constant quarrel with myself, but it’s convenient and pays my bills. And still I have to put up with him and his ideology every day. 🤮
Someone who divides people into good and bad based on some innate or cultural attribute is a fascist. It‘s as simple as that. And yes, that also includes religious fanatism of all kinds, for example.
Ha! I (half) read the book. Cool!
Also Rails has many hidden patterns that not many folks know about. E.g. composed_of, which I’ve only recently rediscovered.
The pushback you typically get is „fail fast“ or „YAGNI“. Yeah I get it, but I‘m not talking about going in retreat for a month. I‘m talking about agreeing on a project vernacular and enforcing it prior to writing ANY code.
oooohhh which ones?

(makes a mental note to finally upgrade to 17)
