Oh you don't really need to dig :) The plot of Federation Force is very overtly just what happens between Metroid Prime 3 and 4. I'm interested to see if they'll do a flashback or anything to explain it in Prime 4.

The absolute audacity of whoever grabbed the environment render to be used as this dude's reflection. Obviously the models of the rooms don't have ceilings so do they throw one in for the reflection texture? Nope, just straight up show the default grey void.

A little concerned that Nintendo seemingly didn't allow anyone to review Pokemon Legends Z-A on the original Switch (theoretically the lead platform). Especially given the performance history of the series on that system.

I got to do a preview of Bubsy 4D for @nintendonwr.bsky.social. I do not think this game is going to appeal to everyone, but it sure as hell looks like it appeals to me, and that's the stupidest timeline.

As a kid who bounced between PC and SNES a lot. That SNES Mouse always felt like that. I remember flinging that thing across the mouse pad to get it to go anywhere. I'd argue they're doing a great job of emulating it :P

The impression I get is that this came in very hot. I don't think they're committing to a 60fps mode but they didn't have much time to optimize for S2 so they played it safe and intend to revisit it to see what's possible later on. They have a good track record for Nintendo ports so I'm optimistic.

Pikmin is a post apocalyptic game. This is established canon. Whatever "Close to You" is a teaser for is clearly the Halo Reach or Rogue One of Pikmin.

Real talk, I assume this exists as a thing that can be shown to shareholders/investors to show how capable Nintendo is as a growing multimedia company of producing this type of work internally rather than continuously licensing it out to Illumination etc.
