I was curious about great players who became successful managers so I looked it up. I think the only decent comparison is Joe Torre – not quite the player Pujols was but quite good in his own right. Walter Johnson had some managerial success, too, but nearly a century ago (and no pennants). 🤷‍♂️

This is awesome. But Lamar has a closer gas station. (I worked at LU for 7-1/2 years – I know ALL the gas stations there. 🤣)

My fiancée, who cooks outstanding, delicious Asian dishes regularly, tells me Hoisin sauce works for texture but is somewhat sweeter. Might work, especially mixed with a little fish sauce. She also suggests a vegan oyster sauce made from mushrooms.

I was just on the OK CHRIST (Oklahoma Christian) campus for a soccer game a couple of weeks ago. I've also been to campuses of New College, Converse, and Jarvis Christian, and I know someone who teaches at Blue Mountain. These are way more legit than Lincoln U. of California and North American U. 🤣

Yep. The schools where I've been employed during my career (including Stetson, Florida Tech, and Lamar) have played a lot of those teams. In fact I was just on the Oklahoma Christian campus for a game two weeks ago. Definitely recognize Jarvis Christian, Webber Int'l, Ave Maria, etc.

Most of you aren't old enough to remember that, in the latter stages of the Iran hostage crisis, the Ayatollah waited until literally minutes after Reagan was inaugurated in January of '81 to release the hostages, just so that Carter didn't get credit for months of efforts. This is not new.
