My dad died in 2016.
People say, I wish so-and-so had lived to see...
I wish he'd lived to see my 1st house & his granddaughter past her first few months & his grandson at all.
But other than Dunkirk (2017), I can't think of a single thing in the wider world I wish he'd lived to see.
It's not great.

On Monday night we saw a SpaceX launch as we parked at the restaurant where we were celebrating my son's birthday.
It left a perfect metaphor in the sky for what that guy is trying to do to our country, like an evil reverse Bat-signal.
Anyhow, my son enjoyed the cold dessert that came with his meal.
