Introducing Vascularsky! Add #vascular to appear in the feed.

Hoping to help rapidly build the Vascular Surgery community over here. It’s my first feed so apologies if it’s a bit clunky - I’ll try to amend as needed.

I haven’t managed to get a single ticket yet this season. It’ll be people using multiple browsers and block booking 6 tickets each for their mates…

Ballot it is but I’m worried we won’t make it to a single game!

Usually are single tickets on the ticket exchange but I can’t go with my lad that way.

Well whatever happens in this second half, we’re not gonna be last on MOTD! #lufc

These things can all be true at once:

1. We played well and were very unlucky to not get a good point on the road
2. We don’t have enough goal threat
3. Farke has done a good job so far
4. Sticking with Farke is a risk
5. There may not be a gettable manager upgrade available

Leeds analysts - we need big players and target set pieces.

Don’t sign a set piece taker

Only team in the league with no set piece coach

1 goal in 4 games (a penalty)

I’m worried #lufc

Leeds that 👇

Gabriel Gudmundsson has scored just the second 90th minute own goal in a 1-0 game in Premier League history, and the first for thirty years. #lufc

Scored 1 goal in 4 games (a penalty)

Doesn’t matter how good at the back we are if we have zero threat up front.

Leaving Gnonto on the bench was daft. Only playing him when forced to because of a DJ injury is criminal.

Also - not signing a set piece taker is gonna cost us so many points

💯 agree with benching James

Just not for Aaronson 😭

Gnonto’s defensive contribution is hugely underrated. Plus he’s so intelligent with the ball. And a whole lot stronger than Aaronson.
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
Also - if it’s 0-0 at 70 mins or if by a miracle we’re defending a lead I suspect Harrison comes on for Okafor not Gnonto…
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
🤷🏼‍♂️

Clearly he doesn’t rate Gnonto’s defensive work. He does tend to do better off the bench though…

But he plays so well with Bogle. Would love to see him regularly start at RW and Okafor at LW.

I suspect benching James is a fitness thing, not tactical.
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
Farke asks for more attackers before the window closes…

Starts Aaronson at RW first game back 🤦🏼‍♂️

If it works, great. But he’s frozen out Ramazani and underplayed Gnonto. Patience is thin… we need threat on the pitch, not on the bench! #lufc
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
Just spotted Robinson is benched 😁
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
Surely that’s Farke’s thinking - I mean I disagree and would much rather Gnonto.

Either that or he sees Gnonto as a LW and second to Okafor…

Either way Robinson and Iwobi are going to be v problematic for whoever plays with Bogle…
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
The club treated him appallingly in January 2023 - sending him to Leicester and then cancelling the move after he arrived

His career is short and he wanted to try and get into the England team

He’s not responsible for anything his mum might say

I do think he could have handled his return better
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
Marsch after Bielsa would still top it for me…

The legends who fed the @thesquareball.net charity walkers this summer have had their van nicked from outside their house. Keep your eyes out please, it's incredibly distinctive and obviously means the world to them.

Share far and wide too.

Both can be true…

It may be unfair but it feels like they were overconfident about the gettable back ups like Wilson and Hamer and didn’t leave themselves enough time to get the deals over the line.
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
How did you read this as supportive of the 49ers???

I think the recruitment team have been ponderous, tight and naive…
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
Hard to disagree with any of this…

Waited too long for Muniz, Paixao and Buonanotte.

Didn’t have enough time to secure our back up options.

Led up the garden path by Fulham twice.

Given the early business I thought the Blunderwood charge was harsh but we just don’t have enough in attack…

#lufc
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
Bunonotte was the back up plan. The club repeated all the same mistakes as the Paixao deal though.
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
I think our business in defence and midfield have been solid.

Stach turn out as good a deal as Tanaka was.

But we played well against Everton but could only score through a contentious penalty

And that’s our only premier league goal

And we’ve created virtually nothing else.
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
Not sure if I’m right but personally I think the biggest dereliction of duty this transfer window is having a clear strategy to get in tall, physical players who can score from set pieces and then not sign anyone who can deliver a decent corner or free kick… #lufc
jsmhoughton.bsky.social
All the business up until the Paixao deal fell apart seemed good.

Everything since has been kinda shambolic.

Ultimately Leeds should never have been in a position where Fulham could (again) dictate their transfer business, not on deadline day.

Farke needed attackers and they did not give them to him. Now, as he said, it will be 'difficult' to fight for survival. So poor.
