Hi ONDP friends! I’m excited to share that I’ll be running for a second term as a member at large on the Ontario NDP executive at convention in Niagara Falls next week.

One of my favourite things about being up North is how people here are honest about what’s working and what isn’t, and how ready they are to help fix it.

And look, when you survive winters like this...you build character. You learn to show up for each other. North Bay has that strength in spades.

I had a great conversation today with the @oflabour.bsky.social on healthcare, the use of the notwithstanding clause and rebuilding the NDP with workers

Workers are the backbone of this country and standing with them means protecting their rights and wellbeing. Change starts with us.

We have an obligation to Canadians and to our democracy to try to win. It’s not my goal to be the conscience of Parliament. It’s not my goal to stand in the corner yelling into the abyss.

I want to get more New Democrats elected.

The Alberta gov’t is using the notwithstanding clause to attack trans youth & the PM has the ability to stop it.

He has constitutional tools. If he refuses to use them, he is choosing political convenience over the safety & rights of trans kids.

I’ve written Mark Carney calling on him to act now.

Pitting workers against workers...

Based on who hired a lobbyist connected to Doug Ford...

That's not how we do business.

If you’re in the area on Friday, Dec 19, I’d love for you to join us for a casual evening to connect and chat about what matters most to you. Come by, say hi, and let’s talk about how we can rebuild our party, reconnect with people, and turn our provincial strength in Oshawa into federal momentum.

This is an appalling decision. I hope everyone affected is safe.

I know firsthand how important it is for international observers, including MPs, to witness the reality and facts on the ground.

My heart is with the Jewish community following the terrorist attack at a Hanukkah event in Australia. An act of antisemitism like this shatters more than a single gathering. Attacks like these wound people far beyond one place, one night, or one country.

ROSIE: You've now lost two MPs to the Liberal Party... Is this a problem of your leadership?

POILIEVRE: No, it's a problem of Mark Carney's leadership that after Canadians clearly rejected a costly Liberal majority... he is trying to manipulate his way through backroom deals.

I was honoured to take part in today’s Confronting the Threat panel. It’s on all of us to look out for our neighbours - whoever and wherever they are.

Workers built our party. They need to know we still have their backs.

That’s what we need to change — not our beliefs, but how we talk about them.

That’s how we reconnect, rebuild trust, and get back to delivering for working people.

It won’t be easy. But I’m ready to do the work, together.

55% of Ontarians didn't vote in the last provincial election. People have lost faith in government because of politicians like Doug Ford.

That's my challenge. Getting out there and earning people's trust. Showing them government doesn't have to be corrupt. That it can change things for the better.
