The Blackhawk is one of the louder “birds” that flies low over the Potomac River. Since the plane/helicopter crash in DC, the Army has changed their flight training path to add more noise to the already busy skies around Dulles Airport and piedmont section of the river.

Bald eagles don't get their distinctive white head and tails until they are around five years old. This molting young eagle is about half that age (2 1/2 yrs).
