Sigh.

The Phillies were the one team that could have (and should have) stopped the Dodgers.

Alas, alas.
It reminds me a little of the Ghent belfry tower.
Jeff Hoffman was ours for two minutes, though

Happy for him
Up to a point.

Whatever you think about Millei and his reforms, the fact of the matter is that the market has been betting heavily that it can "break Argentina" (which it usually has been able to do).

Question is whether it can break Argentina with some U.S. backing.
Certainly not a military expert, but it seems to me that the current Ukraine-Russia semi-stalemate makes one wonder if a successful land war offensive is possible in 2025.

(Yes, I know technologies change and eventually the advantage may shift to the offensive side. But I mean in 2025).
The Dodgers swept the Brewers, and stand as a very large favorite to win the WS.

I think that any analysis of the Phillies' future changes some if it turns out that they lost in the playoffs to the one team that was just better than anybody else (especially if the Dodgers end up sweeping the WS)
I saw it a few weeks ago.

To me, the unsung heroes of the documentary are Mickey
Hargitay and Ellen Siano (Mariska Hargitay's step mother).

If you watched, you know why.
I would think there would be more demand at their price point
My sanity is keeping me away from off-season content, but besides resigning those who need to be resigned (you know who they are), the one area that the Philllies could upgrade where there is a really good FA is 3B.

I have long since been a Bohm fan, but if Bregman can be signed, definite upgrade.

I’d love to see P Craig Russell and you do a joint illustration.

It would be magnificent
I'm confused.

What exactly is data center investment spent on? Construction of warehouses? Purchase of equipment and computers? Hiring of personnel? Electricity purchases?

In a very different context, the concept of "empty calories" exists, so I'm curious as to this type of investment.
Is this the Brooklyn Dreams from the 1990s?

I still have my originals.
I want a Seattle vs Milwaukee WS

Neither is my team (Phillies fan here), but it would be great to have two cities who’ve never won it go for it
Something doesn't quite add up.

Should I think that the ultra rich want to go on super luxury travel, but when they get there, they will plonk down a bottle of Lancers "wine" instead of a Chateau Margaux? Or a bottle of Hibiki?
I'm rooting for a Mariners vs. Brewers WS.
That depends on whether you think the Giants had won or not won the WS.

If you think they hadn't won the WS, the correct years are 2002 (Giants vs. Angels) and 2011 (Giants vs.Texas). 2001 was Dbacks Yanks

To me, the last time two teams who have never won the WS was 1980 (Phillies vs. Royals).
I was gutted after last year's elimination, but I still acknowledged enjoying the 2024 season.

This year, I enjoyed the regular season and am very sanguine about the playoff loss. The Phillies can beat anybody in the sport if they get hot, but they run hot and cold, as they did in these playoffs.
They haven't really gotten hot in the post-season since 2022.

And the Phillies need to get hot to win in October.
If you don't hit, you don't win.
Terrible end to the Phillies season, but if you don't hit, you don't win.

At this point, I want either Milwaukee or Seattle to win it all this year.
The Dodgers scored just enough in games 1 and 2.
I hope that the Phillies get a 10th inning.

But it's damn hard to go far in the playoffs if you don't score.
It’s the 9th inning and the Phillies have to score to win.

The season depends on that, no more, no less.
