Our brains are wired for social connection. When an AI is engineered to appear empathetic, our sense-making process interprets this as a social signal. It triggers feelings of trust, connection, and even companionship, which can be genuinely comforting. The cost is the asymmetry of the interaction.

Criticisms of BLM are merited. It is amazing how folks don't see the issue of self enrichment as a talking point. Messaging as divisive. And more importantly overpoliticized in the if you not with us, you are against mentality.

So if academics do not want to be targeted as wokist, they should not focus on race solely. Regional access, income, transportation, insurance coverage, and neighborhood need considered as well. Just because an issue is hard and has a dataset, doesn't mean to ignore data. Do the damn leg work.

WISDOM: When you read 'left' or 'right' always be skeptical. If someone speaks it, remind them that people are not one group, and that libertarians and independents and ... all exist.

By introducing the reality with more specific group identifiers, it becomes hard to use left and right; same body.

Part of understanding Trump means to travel the world, where business operates differently. Where conflicts of interest are a big thing in the EU and US (maybe), other places it is expected. Self enrichment is also another thing...
