Just finished Planeswalker. This was a slog. It reads as though Abbey received a mandate to fill 3000 years of history without letting Urza develop, forcing her to write a whole book of filler.
5/10. Full review coming in March.

Right now, I'm leaning towards a 4/10. Review begins Tuesday.

Currently halfway through Alchemy of Secrets, and my feelings are ... mixed.

Elements of Garber's writing that impressed me in Caraval are still here.

However, the delivery is ROUGH. It shows some of the worst aspects of YA writing while insisting it is more mature than that.
