In almost all occupations there are objective qualifications. Plumbers have their skills, elementary school teachers their educations, etc. But not politicians. Any fast talker can run for office, and they do.

What a way to run a country. We're in dire, dire straits.

Trump doesn't appear to be doing very well after his cranial lobectomy.

Sometimes I'm astounded at my charisma.

"And your humility?"

I am being humble!

Itzhak Perlman, a great deal more than a top fiddle-player!

On the bright side, here we are on the high plain of extreme NE Montana, snowed in, with the few (and far, but good) neighbors, and isolated from the broader machinations of our society! Wish more could enjoy the same!

Will there ever be world governments administered by the most intelligent and altruistic?

The short answer is, "No."

The longer answer is, "Hell no!"

I write about such things, but far too few follow, or apprehend. 😕

Dear me. I was going to bang on today about worldwide geometric population growth, but I'm controlling myself. Not on Thanksgiving!

The only trees up here on the NE Montana prairie are around homesteads. (It's not tree country.) Here's our backyard.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, or condolences to those in need of some comfort.

We have no doghouse, so when I'm unruly my wife banishes me to the bunkhouse.

There's an old saying in here in NE Montana, that the harsh winters keep out the riffraff.

Alas, they also keep riffraff like me in!

Have we reached political rock bottom yet? No, we're only getting started. Chaos, stupidity, and malevolence here and worldwide.

"You certainly are pessimistic."

I'm far from stupid, I'm knowledgeable, and I'm a total, objective realist.

In my not-at-all humble view 😉😉, it seems that scientific and general knowledge expand, but due to overpopulation and some ratio of intelligent to less-intelligent people, human comprehension remains the same (or even decreases).

If president Hogwash had a stroke, how would we know? (I don't think even his doctors would know, and if they did they probably wouldn't reveal it to the public.)

When I say I write as an avocation, dammit, that's what I mean. I'm old. Money means little to me. Etc.

Why then? I have children and grandchildren, and there are millions of other decent people in the world who are being put upon.

What the hell? If there's hope for humanity, listen up.

I'm almost ready to believe some constitution (form) of AI would be a better president than Trump. (As long as decent, intelligent, and realistic people formulate the constitution.)

We have IQ (Intelligence Quotient) tests. Like 'em or hate 'em, how about RQ tests? Reality quotient tests.
"What for?"
For instance, they would likely be accurate in determining who would be best suited to govern countries, states, ....
"No one would take them."
Their refusal would define them.

In so many ways we humans are afflicted by our successes. Overpopulation, denuding the planet, more effective weapons, mass communication by the villainous, climate change, ....

I write about it, in my old age and as an avocation, but it seems only the astute seem interested. 🤔

Is it possible for people to have negative IQs?

(I have Trump and some of his goons in mind.)
