Gen Z wants more animation and less sex onscreen, according to a Teens & Screens survey, Variety reports.

Preference for animated content over live-action jumped from 42% from last year to 48.5% this year and nearly 48% of 19-24-year-olds also preferred animated content.

it’s the usual “new thing comes out and everyone hates it” phase, sadly common nowadays so it’s usually expected.

I’m excited regardless, I’ll judge the new show on personal experience and see how they handle it.

This panel always sticks out to me.

It’s a good showcase of characters grief and dealing with hard reality’s and a great body horror aspect to it that most other media can’t really get away with.

Part of me would love another zany take on the series like the Armada/Cyberton shows but it’d be great having a version where choices are the driving point and loss helps shape characters and story.

Also don’t need a raunchy Vivizepop version either that would be actual hell😂

I don’t necessarily need blood and gore (the movies did that plenty) but something that Skybound did great was the sense of desperation amidst grim situations, lotta characters made really tough choices which is what I’d love to see personally with a newer “adult take” on the series

Personally I’ve been desperate for a more mature/darker toned show since most of the TV media has been kid-focused (understandably it is a show to sell toys🤷🏻‍♂️)
The Netflix trilogy came off as “edgy for edgy sake” rather than the IDW/Skybound stuff.

Call me crazy but I’d go feral for a new Zelda game with a Windwaker art style again.

Botw and Totk are great for sure, but I’m kinda tired of the style since it’s been used for the last few games.
