Out canvassing and gearing for the election to start tomorrow! Thanks Chloe and Jeff for joining #TeamJosé this morning.

#ndp #Cbridge #initforyou
Joined the hardworking @cupescfp.bsky.social #1656 members at the Region of Waterloo HQ. It’s the third week of the strike, and the message is clear: bargain in good faith and respect the workers!

One day longer, one day stronger. ✊🏽
It was great to connect with Kitchener-Conestoga candidate Maya Bozorgzad this morning. Team #NDP is ready whenever the election gets called.

#elbowsup
Thank you MP Charlie Angus for spending some time in Southwestern Ontario, and for continuing to inspire Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

We will always stand up for bullies - Canada is not for sale.

Elbows up! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Together we marched in Downtown Cambridge to mark International Women’s Day, and to gather in community as we continue our collective effort to build a world where equity is a reality.

Always impactful to celebrate International Women’s Day with Cambridge Soroptimists!
Today on International Women's Day, we celebrate women’s achievements and recommit ourselves to the ongoing fight for human rights.

New Democrats will continue the fight to build a better world where everyone has a chance to succeed.
We’re building something beautiful in Cambridge. Ontario deserves a government that will deliver on housing, healthcare, and education. In Cambridge that voice for hope is Marjorie Knight.

If you can drop off fliers, make phone calls, send texts, deliver signs, knock on doors, or have other skills, time, or talents to share, now is the time to volunteer to help out your local candidate. www.ontariondp.ca/volunteer?ak...

To build the Ontario we all deserve, we need a Premier that will fight for us—and a movement that's ready to back her up. Sign up to volunteer!

The resistance is happening. It's all around us.
Let us celebrate and share the big acts because it helps us to understand that small gestures also matter.
There are only two sides now.
Those who are complicit in evil and those who resist.
Please see our statement below.
At Alison Neighborhood Community Centre our youth get breakfast to help them learn in school, leadership training, summer canps and a sense of belonging. It was an honour to join them at their AGM and learn about the impact that neighbourhood associations have in our community.

It was a wonderful time at the North Dumfries Mayor’s Levee this afternoon. An incredible way to kick off 2025, learn more about community organizations that make this riding such a great place to live, and enjoy the incredible music courtesy of the Hot Ayr Band.
2025 is almost here, and the stakes for Canada have never been higher!

This year-end moment is critical to make sure that we have the resources needed to win. That’s why we’re launching our Pre-Election Fundraising Drive to raise $5,000 by December 31st.

Good morning!

In case you missed it @ndp.ca is now on bluesky!
Today I had the honour to join the 2024 Voices Empower walk to support the crucial work of Women’s Crisis Services in our communities, and stand in one voice to break the cycle of violence against women.
17 years ago, my mother and I faced homelessness. At a time where we felt hope had been forcibly removed from our lives, the Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region gave us a roof over our heads and the wraparound supports we needed.

If you get hurt.
If you get sick.
If you retire after a lifetime of working.

You don't classify as a "Hardworking Canadian" according to Justin Trudeau.
Solidarity today. Solidarity everyday.

On this International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, please read the NDP statement from MP Heather McPherson.

Today, November 29, marks the UN International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, so I offer this House, and all Canadians committed to justice and peace, the following reflection: “Every bombed village is my hometown”,
Stop the genocide.
Long live Palestine.
Long live Gaza.

Exactly.

Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives want Ontarians to pay 13% more for diapers and food over the next two months – because they only support tax cuts for big business.

We won’t let it happen and we'll make the tax cuts on essentials - permanent.
Truth. PP and the Cons don't care about the average Canadian. They're trying to coast into power knowing most aren't voting because they agree with the policies but because they want Trudeau out.

There's a third option here, and it's high time this country realized it. We can do better.
Look, middle and working class Canadians badly need some breathing room.

The Conservatives’ choice to vote against a middle-class tax break tells you all you need to know:

Pierre Poilievre’s bootlicking for billionaires.

WE GOT IT DONE!

If you're reading this in the morning.

It's 11:23pm & we just secured a GST Tax Break!

For 2 months there’ll be no GST/HST on kid's clothes, diapers & other essentials.

Poilievre tried to block it — we defeated him.

For the record an NDP govt would make this a permanent tax cut
This year’s National Housing Day theme #HeartsShapingHomes reminds us of the importance to guarantee housing as a human right. It was incredible to join the Region of Waterloo and local community partners at this year’s event.
