Sally raised her head to stare out the train window. Outside, Mobotropolis driifted by in what seemed like a slow crawl. It’d been a long time since she’d been able to just take in the city from such a high vantage point, and it filled her with pain.

Gonna be taking 3 weeks off work over the holidays. Plan to get a bunch of art done.

Just updating to let y'all know our cats have just about fully recovered. They have massive appetites and for the most part their mouth ulcers have cleared up, aside from some lingering irritation.
Man. That wasn't a fun week.

So we found out finally what's been bothering our poor cats. It's Feline Calicivirus (FCV), which they had already all been vaccinated for. Currently our two 16-year-olds have mouths filled with ulcers, but we've been giving them as much care as we can. Our new adoption so far just has leaky eyes.

Had to take our 16 year old cat Wheeljack to the vet today since we noticed he was drooling and in pain. Turns out he has a mass in his mouth that's either an infection or cancer. He's on antibiotics, hopefully we'll know in a week what it is.

Humans are simultaneously incredibly beautiful but also horrifyingly barbaric. I wish I could say one is to be human and the other is not, but history has only shown that we're decidedly both.

My mum's heart attack was awful, but really came at a time when I was already re-evaluating my own lifestyle. 42 wasn't a kind year to me, but I've been spending a lot of time the past few weeks really just looking hard at what I need in my life and what truly makes me happy.

Going to be working on a lot of original art for a while. I've been re-evaluating what I want to do as an artist & its relationship with my recent unhappiness. I'll still do Sonic stuff from time to time, but it's time to finally channel what makes up me as a person & explore it in art form.

Had a rough week thanks to my mum's heart condition but she's stable and at home. My flatting work had to take a back seat so I'm behind on my work, but picking it back up and working hard.
My wife has been tremendously supportive. Couldn't do this without her.

My mum had a mild heart attack yesterday. She's currently OK and recovering, with an operation due shortly, but was still a scary thing to wake up to.
