A bit late to the party with this one, but I found this compelling tune and video with Memphis inspired Cantonese rap from last year. It spread virally internationally back then, though it was directed at the Chinese audience.

I cannot get over the "continental" writing style some philosophers use. It's like reading one of those old-time ransom letters - just a series of newspaper cutouts (quote after quote) glued onto a page. Why can't they simply put their own points in their own words?

I was just checking out whether Nina Kraviz had changed her position on the war and Putin's regime, and she has issued nothing but bland "against violence" and "for peace" statements. The latter is ominous since it often signals pro-occupation sentiments. My guess is that she is pro-war.

In similar soundscapes we find this nice new album by the artist or project "MarS", possibly released this week. Atmospheric experimental indie electronica. I couldn't find any info about the artist or the album, so this is certainly a self-release.

The track "8" released yesterday by Eartheater. 10 years since her debut album and this release is based the track "Infinity" from it. She often seems to elevate biological and geological motifs of creation and transformation to metaphysical images and themes.

I think I might have seen Dimitri Hegemann on two occasions. An elderly gentleman in ordinary summer clothes checking out a floor at Wilde Möhre this year, and being shown reverence in the queue at Polygon some time ago. The grand gardener of Berlin club culture making sure that all is well.
