Great resilience, solidarity and belief for #lufc to come back twice and from two down with more than 70 minutes on the clock. Whatever anyone thinks of the manager he clearly has the players fighting his corner and that’s half the battle

For anyone annoyed with Gary Neville’s punditry console yourself with the abuse he’ll have taken on the way to the gantry. As well as the same trip to and from on Wednesday night #lufc

Who is the oldest surviving former #lufc player following this weeks sad death of John Scott b.1928?

This year we lost Gerry Francis b.1933 in May and Alan Peacock b.1937 in June.
In 2023 Noel Peyton b.1935, Willie Bell b.1937 and Roy Wood b.1930 all passed.

Is it John Giles, b. 6-Nov-1940?
Had a Twitter chat two years ago trying to uncover the oldest living former #Lufc player. Settled on this guy, John Scott, born in 1928. I was left wondering why I’d never heard him mentioned before. John was guest of honour at Elland Road on Saturday

#lufc Huge result, so needed, great individual performances across the pitch, invigorates the whole team ahead of Saturday which has flipped from a likely loss to winnable. Took advantage of a #cfc diminished by titanic games against Afc and Barca over the past week. Five changes from Sunday…

Billy Bonds came to Leeds in November 1973 and left with a 4-1 defeat. Team mate Ted Macdougall left with something more after a Bonzo 🥊 post match. At around 26 seconds a sloppy pass from TM sets up a #lufc counter attack, Bonds can be seen showing his displeasure #whu

#BigMatchRevisited tomorrow, from March 1976: Everton v QPR, Chelsea v Soton & the big one Grimsby v Palace.

In better news, a new series starts in January featuring the 1971/72 season!, which should mean plenty of #lufc and games that have never been shown since their original broadcast

So which ‘ultra famous’ boxer was shouting up random guys for kinky gay sex, out of his car window?
