It may be his only option to save his seat 😏
He’s our local MS and totally out of his depth. I’m just surprised he hasn’t jumped ship to Reform yet to join the other talentless ex-Tories in their ranks.
Starmer is treading in very dangerous territory here if he’s interfering with the operational independence of the Police. These fans are considered a major public order risk and regardless of their nationality shouldn’t be visited on any of our communities.
Arrogant, self-entitled and unrepentant to the last. Do we really need this parasitic institution in the 21st Century?
I’m absolutely staggered Starmer has involved himself in this. He will know from his CPS days the police have operational independence. They have assessed these fans as a very high risk to public order and should not attend. Their nationality is irrelevant.

It's quite simple.

Very rich people are blaming immigrants and disabled people, for stealing all the money (exactly as Adolf Hitler did).

Because they are stealing all the money.

This trick is literally hundreds of years old, and it is the only one they have.
This is a serious misjudgement by Starmer. Mandelson’s chequered past had red flags all over it yet he still chose to appoint him. Public trust in politicians is at an all time low, and appointments of this nature will only deepen public cynicism and open the door to populists like Farage.
Shocking misjudgement by Starmer. Mandelson has a history of controversy and should never have been allowed anywhere near government or high office again.
An odious, self-serving creep. Should be nowhere near government or high office.
You’re obviously touching some very raw nerves. My subscription is very well spent 👍
Client media owned by billionaire vested interests, an ineffective and supine BBC which no longer challenges extreme views and happily platforms a party of 4 MP’s at every opportunity and apologists for an ongoing genocide in Gaza. How’s that for starters?
This is just symptomatic of the concerted MSM campaign to undermine the current government. I didn’t vote for them, don’t support them, but they were democratically elected. Starmer needs to realise he can’t pander to them and needs to kick back starting with Leveson 2.

Which other country in Europe has sold off all its strategic assets and exposed its population to the predations of hostile state actors and private capital?
Answers on a postcard please!?
A government which is enabling genocide, seeking to suppress a group of people expressing their opposition in a non-violent way. Where will the line be drawn in future?

“The rich get richer because political leaders protect that growth – often in service of their own ambitions. A Britain governed in the public interest must not defer to a plutocratic class. There needs to be a break with the current model”

Sounds like a plan

The Ofgem bill cuts are a con.

You pay nearly 80% of your bills between October-April.

The £129 cut in July, which will go up again in October, won't cut £129 off your bill.

It will be about £20.

They know this that's why they do it.

You can't get a council house because no one is building them.

Your wages are terrible because the billionaires profits have to be record.

As above for the rents.

And house prices are sky high because of all the landlords.

None of it is to do with immigrants.

Reform UK is a lesson in how any Political Party no matter how rancid and useless can be made 'popular' by overwhelming positive coverage by the Billionaire Media that own them.
