I am retired, living in the Bay Area, happily married, fortunate to own a home and be able to live self reliantly, with some wonderful friends and family in my life. I swim for exercise and enjoy music, books, art and good food. My life is a great journey.
Trump just set a new record: most lies, distortions, untrue statements, fabricated bullshit and pompous self congratulations in 16 minutes. He sounded like an angry infomercial. Yelling at the idiots who gave him a 37% approval rating in the PBS/Marist poll. If you don’t have facts use decibels.

America needs to confront the epic reality that POTUS is profoundly disturbed, rapidly declining further with clear signs of cognitive impairment and poor impulse control. Is that who we want to vest the most destructive power known to man—declaring wars and threatening the use of nuclear weapons?

Since Trump’s “liberation day” in April, announcing increased tariffs, the Canadian economy (which is far smaller) has created more jobs than the US economy. And Canada’s current rate of inflation is 2.2%; US inflation is 3.0%. MACA!

Good people, good nations do not stomp on the grief of others. Politics is meant to end at the graveside. That’s not just some social nicety. It’s a foundational taboo…any civilized society must enforce to prevent transient personal differences from becoming generational blood feuds. Bret Stephens

Trump announced a nationwide address tomorrow at 9 EST. I have been predicting a war announcement before 12/18. Why that date? Because the Epstein files are supposed to be released by the DOJ to Congress by then. Naturally, I suspect whitewashed files, which could provoke more outrage. War diversion

Thomas Edsall sums up Trump perfectly: Peering into the Trump mind-set — the logic underpinning his priorities, his morality, his decision making — is like opening up a garbage pail left out for days during a summer heat wave. Trump’s guiding ideology is Make Trump Richer.

Trump shows that he has zero decency and a 100% narcissistic personality by blaming Rob Reiner’s death on TDS—Trump Derangement Syndrome. Trump is certainly deranged. He doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself. A man entirely unqualified to be president.

Donald Trump mocked Rob Reiner after the director and his wife were found dead in their home, saying he was killed because of "incurable" TDS.

Our country is losing the competition to remain the leading nation in the world. China is winning. While we focus on tearing each other apart, China is advancing rapidly in technological breakthroughs. We need to wake up to this reality or fall further behind.

When asked by NBC about images from Epstein’s estate, Trump said he knew “nothing about it,” adding Epstein has “photos with everybody.” No Donald, Epstein did not have photos with “everybody”. Just dozens of powerful, wealthy men, some of whom face serious allegations of sexual misconduct. Like you

What’s so troubling about the Epstein saga is that so many of our supposedly best and brightest leaders vetted Epstein so poorly (after all he is gifting a lot of “important“ people) and knew so little about what he was doing or worse knew and did and said nothing. Either way it’s disgusting.

Trump’s health is starting to rival his Epstein files problem in size of damage to his political future. The attached article is speculation that may or may not be true. But when Trump spreads similar rumors about his enemies he opens the conspiracy door that boomerangs.

Trump calls affordability crisis a hoax. Just as millions of Americans are reeling from sticker shock from health care premiums. And as groceries, insurance and electric bills soar. This is one gaslighting attempt that will flop like a catfish hitting the boat. Reject bullshit. Vote GOP out!

Trump’s desperate attempts to shift the media narrative from Epstein files to war with Venezuela, phony peace prizes from FIFA, racist attacks on Somalis, DOJ revenge on political enemies, seeking ever greater power from the Seditious Six on the Supreme Court and his bonkers posts is not working.

Trump’s obvious deterioration both cognitively and physically needs to be addressed by our nation’s leaders. One can criticize Biden for hiding his similar issues but at least he finally bowed out. Trump will never do that. And if course it is doubtful his sycophantic cabinet will do anything.

The political assault on objective truth and established scientific evidence by the far right wing, especially, climate change and anti-vaccination, is perhaps the greatest danger to humanity. It began decades ago with the unsubstantiated attacks on evolution. More evidence:
